Our Story

It started long before us with our moms, Valeria and Maria, two women born on the same island of Sicily who found each other in Allenhurst, New Jersey and spent years making tomato sauce together with their families. We were just little kids running around while it all happened.

As life does, it pulled our families in different directions, but Paul and Carla kept crossing paths. By college we had become best friends- the kind you tell everything to and the one you call first. Until one day we realized that what we'd built together wasn't just a great friendship. It was love — the deep, familiar kind that makes you wonder how you ever saw it as anything else.

Are children part of the celebration?

Just the Grown Ups This Time

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. The only exceptions are the children of our wedding party. We truly appreciate your understanding.

When should I plan to arrive for the weekend?

A Gentle Travel Recommendation

To ease the travel and time‑zone shift, we recommend arriving in Italy two days before and in Sicily one day before the wedding weekend.

How do I get from that airport to the town/venue?

A Simple Coastal Drive

Scopello is roughly an hour away by car, and the drive is straightforward and scenic. Rental cars and private transfers are the most reliable options.

What time does the celebration end?

A Night Full of Energy

In true Italian fashion, the party goes until about 1:30 AM — come ready to celebrate, and leave whenever you need.

Will the ceremony be indoors?

Under the Coastal Sicilian Sky

The entire celebration is outdoors. June is typically warm, and it may feel breezy after sunset, so a light layer can be nice to have.
